You're awesome. Haha, this is a PERFECT rendition. PERFECT. You could do nothing different, it is exactly how it shoud sound.
Ugh, it almost makes me sick how good this is. >: )
Author's Response:
Perfect? I don't know about that, but I appreciate the nice review. You're awsome thanks for all the reviews!

You truly are talented with your music. I liked the eerie sound you managed to get out of this track...and honestly, it made me want to play VI again. lol.
So good job!
Author's Response:
Glad you were inspired to play it again. I love this game and it was a challenge to warp something well beyond it's normal parameters as a song.

It's funny, my favourite part was the end. Not because it was bad or anything, I just really like the core melody of Jesters Of The Moon. Oh, Zorn and Thorn, you crazy smucks. Anyway, I thought it was unique, it sounded a little off, like you were an octave too low or didn't go up high enough, or something like that....I am assuming that you were going for a little offkey type sound though, so I can respect that. Anyone who remixes FFIX music definitely has a fan, though, so good job.
Author's Response:
Thanks very much for your review! :) This is probably my most worked on piece, because I started this long before I could do much with music. Most of this song is original, but I decided that since it did have some of the original melody in it, I'd give credit to the original piece. The end is one of those places, and it's one of my favorite parts as well :)

It sounds like it could've been included in an actual game. Nothing but props for you here. :) Uematsu would be proud.
Author's Response:
Hehe, I hope he would be. Thanks for the review.

I liked the conchairto (oh I spelt that brutal) style of piano, with two pianos going at once to maximize the sound. Yeah, it was simple, but it worked nicely, especially with the small strings inclusion in the middle.
Sounded pleasant, nicely done.

Wow! Someone actually still managed to find me after all those months :D Thanks for your positive review mate!

...is the intense beat behind the music, that makes the original so powerful. I loved this rendition, but it's just lacking that UMPH that the old one had. Having said that, this song is one of those songs...along with maybe "Terra" on the same disc, that stirs up the emotion that Final Fantasy IX delivers. Such an underrated game, I swear. Anyway, don't get me wrong, it's a great piece, I just felt like I was missing that one final touch that makes the whole build-up so good. The use of trumpets wasn't bad, just yeah, different. Anyhoo, good job mate, hope to see much more from you, in regards to FF tunes.
Author's Response:
Yeah, I know what you mean about the beat, but I deliberately left it out to make a calmer version of an awesome song. Thanks for your review, they are all appreciated.
Terra you say? Hmm, ideas are a'formulatin'.

...about Final Fantasy 7 is this song. I still remember the feeling of Aerith dying, after spending so much time leveling her. It was traumatic really. But it also marked the first time that a truly developed character, had an unexpected death, that, if you hadn't had it already spoiled, really touched you in a way. You did a great job with the song, making it more touching than it already is...and using Uematsu's already amazing ability, tweaked the song to make it fit the story even more. Good stuff. :)
Author's Response:
I remember my hopes being crushed at this moment as well. A lot of emotion is tied to this song for me as well. Thanks for the awsome review, I look forward to more.

I enjoyed the start of this, but at times, the instruments seemed to be hitting the wrong notes, sour keys are >_<. Also, it'd have been nice to hear actual drumming instead of just the beat, because...well, at times, the beat sounded out of place and it could've been changed up just a tad. Not taking anything away from your effort, but just...a few iffy sounds here and there took away from what could be a great piece. Cheers.
Author's Response:
Good words man, I know I crapped this up listening back to it, but there'll be a new version soon!
Thanks for the review

Such a great version of this tune, I can't say enough about it. I think I'm just a Nintendo fanboy or something, but this track was one of my favourites within the game, and your version of it is quite enjoyable. Great job. :)

Being a huge Mario RPG fan...I think this is a spectacular rendition of a track from a great soundtrack. Yeah, it's a little short...but hey, most Mario tracks are quite short. Anyway, once the cymbals started clashing, I knew I was hooked. Excellent work. :)
Author's Response:
Thanks!
I agree that this game got a nice soundtrack, and this song in particular. Though I think you can find some other renditions by Chronamut, and perhaps someone else.
