You're awesome. Haha, this is a PERFECT rendition. PERFECT. You could do nothing different, it is exactly how it shoud sound.
Ugh, it almost makes me sick how good this is. >: )

You truly are talented with your music. I liked the eerie sound you managed to get out of this track...and honestly, it made me want to play VI again. lol.
So good job!
Author's Response:
Glad you were inspired to play it again. I love this game and it was a challenge to warp something well beyond it's normal parameters as a song.

This is one of the chief FFIX songs from the soundtrack, and you nailed it completely. I love all the scenes with this song...it's a great tune. Good job!

lol @ the sims, that cracked me up.
Anyway, I'm digging the background piano alongside the melody, I think it's a nice touch, and the constant drum beat, which I thought might annoy me, is actually just subtle enough to not be obnoxious or take anything away from the original intended sound of this song...which is, of course to be sad/touching/whatever.
Anyway, great work, keep 'em coming.

It's funny, my favourite part was the end. Not because it was bad or anything, I just really like the core melody of Jesters Of The Moon. Oh, Zorn and Thorn, you crazy smucks. Anyway, I thought it was unique, it sounded a little off, like you were an octave too low or didn't go up high enough, or something like that....I am assuming that you were going for a little offkey type sound though, so I can respect that. Anyone who remixes FFIX music definitely has a fan, though, so good job.

Thanks very much for your review! :) This is probably my most worked on piece, because I started this long before I could do much with music. Most of this song is original, but I decided that since it did have some of the original melody in it, I'd give credit to the original piece. The end is one of those places, and it's one of my favorite parts as well :)

I'm not really a big fan of the tinny sounding guitar. The original seems to have a much better sound....when creating remixes of songs in a game such as this, it's important to not only improve on the sound, but also fully capture the mood of Burmecia...it's a rainy, depressing town...I don't really get that from this song. Yeah, it's sounds sad and all, but it's not powerful sounding at all, and it definitely didn't manage to resonate any emotions that Burmecia does in the actual game. It's not terrible, it's just not impressive for a remix. Keep trying though, I love the FFIX music. :)

It sounds like it could've been included in an actual game. Nothing but props for you here. :) Uematsu would be proud.

Hehe, I hope he would be. Thanks for the review.

I wish it would've taken more of the zelda tune in the actual beat...but it didn't really seem to encompass the song that is in the title..so it's a little misleading.
It's still a good beat, it's just not really that Zeldaish. :)

I like it, unfortunately it's probably not too useful unless you set up a hardcore loop. But for what it is, it is enjoyable and recognizable.

...my favourite SM64 remix ever. I downloaded it, and I can't stop listening to it. It's so GOOD.
I wish I knew what you did to get so good at making audio, because seriously, you're a master at this stuff. It sounds so professional. Excellent excellent work.
